A Closer look - Katsaus projektiin

As you may already know, our goal is to create a doll animation (at this point called A Song of Our Hearts) based on our favourite book series. Now we want to share some top-secret information and tell you how.

As the fantastic book series and especially the TV-show are mostly created to tell the stories of men and heroes, we want to use a different point of view. Our ultimate plan is to tell the same stories with different tellers: ladies trapped in the complicated life of nobles and their children, too early participating secrets and struggles of adults. This gives us great advantages: we can create less dolls, less areas and less effects, which means we can put more effort on both technical (dolls, environments, dresses...) and story parts. It is clear that some of you don't like that idea and we accept that. We have, anyway, a message to those people: this is a project created with love and joy. If you don't enjoy this, go somewhere else and enjoy other things.

To give you ideas, information and some entertainment we'll publish numerous parts of our work: creating the dolls and their costumes, designin environments and plannin different ways to tell a story. You will find these fragments of information here on this blog. Even further, we'll keep you informed (partially for the sake of our honest intentions) about the money spent to A Song of Our Hearts.

Because this is a fan-based project with no economical base, we do not want nor accept any money to create our animation. If you however feel you would like to help some other way (for example by sending supplies or making some pieces of the set) please contact us.

Kuten ehkä jo tiedätte, tämän blogin tarkoitus on esitellä suosikkikirjasarjamme pohjalta tehtävää animaatiota (työnimenään Sydäntemme laulu). Nyt paljastamme hiukan huippusalaista tietoa suunnitelmistamme.

Mahtava Tulen ja jään laulu -kirjasarja (G.R.R. Martinilta) sekä erityisesti HBO:n a Game of thrones -televisiosarja keskittyvät ennen kaikkea mieshahmojen ja sankareiden tarinoihin. Hurja suunnitelmamme on kertoa samat tarinat eri kertojien, aateliselämän kiemuroihin sotkeutuneiden ladyjen ja heidän liian varhain aikuisten maailmaan joutuneiden lastensa, avulla. Tämä tarjoaa meille eräitä erinomaisia etuja: meidän tarvitsee luoda vähemmän hahmoja, tapahtumapaikkoja ja tehosteita. Samalla saamme tilaisuuden keskittyä paremmin tarinan teknisiin (buket, puvut, lavastus...) sekä juonellisiin ominaisuuksiin. On eittämättä selvää, että kaikkia suunnitelmamme ei miellytä. Viestimme niille, jotka eivät nauti tekeleistämme, on seuraava: olkaa hyvät ja siirtykää nauttimaan muista asioista. Tämä on rakkaudella ja ilolla rakennettu operaatio.

Antaaksemme teille hyviä ideoita, mielenkiintoista infoa ja hiukan viihdykettä aiomme julkaista työmme vaiheita. Näytämme niin nukkejen ja näiden pukujen valmistusta, lavasteiden kehittelyä kuin tarinankerronnan suunnitteluakin. Mikä vielä hurjempaa, aiomme (osittain osoituksena vilpittömistä aikeistamme) pitää teitä ajan tasalla Sydäntemme lauluun kulutetusta rahasta.

Tämän ollessa fanipohjainen, vapaaehtoisuuteen perustuva projekti, jolla ei ole taloudellista tarkoitusperää, haluamme muistuttaa seuraavasta: emme tahdo emmekä ota vastaan rahaa animaatiomme kehittämiseen. Jos kuitenkin haluat olla avuksi, (esimerkiksi lähettää askartelumateriaalia tai tehdä jonkin lavasteen,) ota meihin yhteyttä.

The Opening - Avajaiset

This is the "very official site" of the insane, the wild,  the enormous A Song of Ice and Fire Doll animation project. The whole operation is totally fan-based, executed voluntarily on freetime and sponsored by makers themselves. No profit is made, nor any rights (except the rights to our own artwork: dolls, costumes etc.) owned. The Only, the Great and the Original A Song of Ice and Fire belongs to George R. R. Martin and his publishers, and this project is truly and only created to celebrate his masterpiece.

Because of the nationality, location and language of the founder of the project and the watchers-to-be everything on this blog will be updated in both, English and Finnish.  We politely remind all the followers, that this is completely a hobby-like operation. The quality and time spent are related to our own abilities and energy. If you have something to tell to us, or if you have any concerns about this project, please contact us.

Tämä on Tulen ja Jään laulu -nukkeanimaation huisin virallinen sivu. Operaatio on kokonaisuudessaan fanipohjainen, vapaaehtoisesti vapaa-aikana toteutettu ja tekijöiden omasta pussistaan maksama. Sen tarkoitus tai mikään sivumerkitys ei ole rahan tai kunnian ansaitseminen, vaan ainoan ja alkuperäisen George R. R. Martinille ja hänen julkaisijoilleen kuuluvan upean teoksen juhlistaminen. Kaikki oikeudet lukuunottamatta oikeuksia projektin toteuttajien omaan kädenjälkeen (nuket, puvustus, lavastus yms.) kuuluvat heille.

Projektin toteuttajien kansallisuudesta, sijainnista ja äidinkielestä johtuen ja tulevaa yleisöä huomioiden tämä blogi päivittyy sekä suomeksi että englanniksi nyt ja tulevaisuudessa. Pyydämme kaikkia seuraajia huomioimaan, että tämä on harrasteprojekti, joten laatu ja aikataulu on omasta pystymisestämme ja jaksamisestamme kiinni.
